On this page, we'll describe some of the events leading up to our Maggie's birth.
Awaiting Maggie's arrival...
Mommy is so excited for Maggie's arrival. She spends lots of time in her room, sometimes just folding Maggie's clothes.

~~~Waiting~~~
So many days to go until the big day
How different life will be
After you adjust to the change, you will be okay
But may not ever find a moment free
How many days left to go?
When the day comes, you may want a day more
But when you see each cute little toe
You will want another one to make your family four
How cute will be your little one
With his or her mother's eyes and father's nose
Will it be a daughter or a son?
You'll have to wait 'til the big day to know
Here is he first picture EVER of little Maggie. The first time we saw her, we knew that our lives would change forever even
though we couldn't see her "Fred Flinstone" toe or her cheesey grin or hear her shreaking scream or amusing laughter. We can't
imagine our lives without her. We are so blessed that God brought her to us!
How We Chose a Name
We decided that if the baby was a girl, Daddy would pick the name and if it was a boy, Mommy would pick the name. Daddy
picked out the name Magdalena Marie. Magdalena is a name that Mommy and Daddy both liked from the Bible. The name Marie was
after Tante Tammy's middle name. Mommy picked Ryan Franklin. The name Ryan would be an easy name for both families to pronouce.
In Arabic, the name Ryan means the gates of Heaven. The middle name of Franklin came from Daddy, as that's his middle name.
~~~The Gift~~~
I wonder if you ever dreamed
About me and the world unrevealed
I wonder if you ever smiled
Whenever I talk to you from the outside
I feel butterflies within
Is that you that I am feeling?
I feel happy when you do that
Now let's see, what else do you have?
Every night I want to dream of you
Hold your face and kiss you
Feel your soft skin and smell it
Give you a hug and tickle your feet
That is real enough for me
To see you in my dreams and hold you tenderly
However, I still can't wait to see
My precious little gift: my baby.
