At the Hospital...

~~~WHAT MAKES A DAD?~~~
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need.
Then God combined these qualities.
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete.
Daddy's little girl
Mother's Prayer
Dear Lord, it's such a hectic day, with little time to stop and pray...
Running errands, sorting socks, building dreams with matching blocks,
Cooking, cleaning, finding shoes and other stuff that young ones lose,
A stack of last week's mail to read...
So where's the quiet time I need?
Yet when I steal a moment Lord, while at the sink or ironing board,
To ask for blessings of Your grace, I look into my small one's face...
And see your greatest gift of all, looking up so sweet and small,
This little treasure standing there...the answer to a mother's prayer.
That's What Aunts Are Made Of
Goodness and care, friendship to share
Thoughful advice, all things nice
Talks on the phone, a welcoming home
Kindness and grace, gentle as lace...
That's what Aunts are made of
Arms bearing gifts, smiles that lift
Seeker of fun, warm as the sun
Valued big sis, someone to miss
Birthday well-wisher, big ice cream disher...
That's what Aunts are made of
Hugs filled with heart, a fan from the start
Secrets to share, laughs to spare
Words of praise, generous ways
Grown-up best friend, love never ends...
That's what Aunts are made of.
